Ireland’s Call

We were honoured to have been asked to perform for the Irish National Rugby Team at the match between Ireland and South Africa in the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

The afternoon included entertainment for the VIP guests (including ministers of the state) before the match. It was great to have a chance to watch the match. A great show for 50,000 people. In return, we entertained both teams for their après-rugby dinner with string quartet versions of modern classics such as Beach Boys, Lady Gaga, Queen, Madness, Metallica and others.

We were very happy to make a string quartet arrangement of “Ireland’s Call” and South Africa’s anthem for such a special occasion. Continue reading Ireland’s Call

London’s Calling

Our latest Dublin engagement saw us performing our string quartet arrangements of Irish and British National Anthems. We feel privileged to have been chosen for such a high profile Embassy event.

Music requests included selection of themes from musicals such as “King and I”, “My Fair Lady”, “Phantom of the Opera”; classical Handel’s Water Music; our contemporary arrangements of The Beatles, Eurythmics, Queen, David Bowie and others proved very popular again. String Quartet to dance to

Pulling Tango Strings

This is a “Thank you” letter we received after our string quartet‘s performance at a themed dinner organised at the occasion of the Titanic anniversary. At the same time, it was an evening of dance music for the Tango Society, a very enjoyable intimate occasion in a private venue.

Apart from emotional and passionate tango numbers, we also played period music believed to have been done on Titanic – light classical music, ragtimes, and waltzes. Continue reading String Quartet to dance to
